Ah, that's interesting. I've always know about autism being a developmental disorder from when I first watched a program called "The Mind Traveller" by Oliver Sacs.
He noted that the brain does in time develop to deal with some of the things hard to deal with as a person gets older but at a slower rate then NTs.
The feeling of touch and hugs don't overly bother me so long as I know its comming lol if its out of the blue it can make ma rather jumpy.
That is interesting although one part mentions treatment and I'm not for cures. I'm ok with hugging some people, shaking hands and whatnot although when I was younger I didn't tolerate it at all and hated any touch.
When they say " Hypersensitive to touch" I think that means how fabric feels on us as well as hugging.
I can tolerate and even enjoy hugs when the fabrics are right. Same person wearing a different item of clothes then there I am very uncomfortable.
e.g. hugging someone wearing a fleece is ok. Wearing a waterproof anaorac is a NO.
I dont mind hugging, the only time I got something against it is when somebody random just comes up and hugs me, luckily that doesnt happen very often

hi this is a good topic,
hugs and touching
ok i sometimes ok with hugs and holed hands
i dont like sitting next to people on the bus becouse you very close and i dont like that
i am fine with shaking hands
for hugs and stuff like that i have to be in the right mood!
i dont like it when somebody hugs you they dont tell you thats what they going to do,

I like hugs
I didn't used to though
but as I've grown older I find i need physical contact to establish emotional bonds, I suppose it's something akin to social animals grooming.
also without that contact i tend to become more animalistic in my emotions and behaviour.
paradoxically I don't really like humanity as a species outside of my family i feel much comfortable around birds and beasts, and among the trees.
and I tend to dislike man-made fabrics, natural fabrics such as cotton, silk and leather are best.
