Do you suffer from anxiety ? I do at times mostly when i have to ring someone thats the only time my heart begins to beat fast but once i get use to the person its alot easier

How does anxiety effect you ?
hey my anxiety is affected like me ringing someone who's answering the fone even it a social anxiety disorder mine is also by big crowds of people ,sounds and noises are main triggers that set me off but can be many diffrent things! - kirst
I hate meeting to me unknown people, I hate groups of people I don't particularly like, I'm afraid of new situations;I'don't think I'd dare going to a disco. I sometimes suffer from social anxiety, especially when I come with for example my class in a new place, I can get problems with my anxieties.
Yeah I can relate to that one well daniel and I used to get anxious about lots of things in school especially year 8 - 10. My main ones now are crowds, going on the phone (sometimes but not always) and going to new places I don't know and not knowing what I'll be doing.
I can talk to someone on msn/myspace/facebook without anxiety, but if i ring someone, i get anxiety, but thats really the only time when i get anxiety.
P.S: I have aspergers.

big crowds. people wearing tracksuits. ya i get anxious around them. Yeh i can relate with the phone thing!
I have social anxiety. Things that make me anxious are school, talking to people on Xbox Live, using the phone, and new places and situations. For some reason, I have no problem, as far as anxiety goes, with talking (typing) to people online.
Interesting that everybody so far has said they are anxious about using the phone. Since I was little, I've been very scared of ringing people I don't know and even put off ringing friends and family (except maybe my mum).

Talking on MSN is okay by me (except when I have to do something like put on dinner, I have trouble telling the other person that I'll have to stop talking for a while).

Going to crowded places where there will be a lot of noise and people moving about randomly also raises the anxiety levels. For that reason, I'm not too keen on the big shopping centres.

Same here, I am always at least a bit nervous while the phone is ringing but after a few minutes it usually goes away.

I am also very nervous when talking to people, very nervous like heart beating fast etc. when its a new person, but again it goes down when I have been talking for a bit.
