There comes a time when i may need to tell people i have AS in college i am not ashamed of my asperger's but feel people don't really need to know but sometimes people pick up on the fact i cant maintain eye contact and ask why and things like that,

I sometimes take them to oneside and say i have AS they always say what's that and for me its hard to explain to a NT what AS is and how they look at me when i try and tell them about it,

Most of the time people don't notice but there is a few NT's that do and they seem to be the really socialble ones maybe they see it because i am a total opposite

AS is not well know that doesn't help either but i am trying to change that and hopefully bring more awareness to asperger's
It depends on who I tell, I told one person before and I couldn't think of how to describe it really, but I described some examples and she was interested to find out more.
I do if people ask about my behavior... else it should be because I get an opportunity to do it in class or something...
no one knows. no one can tell. and i certainly wouldn't tell anyone!
Most people react with interest about what it is... I have never tried that people disliked me because of it...
The last person i told said to me "i think i have that too tbh"
I've never told anyone I have AS in person. I don't really know how I would say it. I don't know if it would be for better or for worse to say so either.
I usually find they don't have a clue what I'm talking about but a few have said something such as "ah, my grandson has Asperger's too" or "I think my dad had it".
alot people i know now know because of me informing them of what is and how affects me but beforehand they knew nothing really of it esp ma family i taught them alot but even still when mention the name of diagnosis they dont get what u mean by it when you explain it type of mild autism the
continued on.... from before sorry to confuse you all! lol

n get me for some reason dont know how and why this is though maybe because aspergers is a new diagnosis than autism itself it been around longer so normal people had time to adjust to this! does anyone else agree on what ive said ...?

love you loadz
take care everyone
kirst
